Robert F. Kennedy kijelentette, hogy első napján megszünteti az ivóvizek mesterséges fluoridozását az Egyesült Államokban. Sokan méregnek, rákkeltőnek, idegrendszeri zavarokat okozó szernek tartják a fluoridot, amit valójában azért adnak a vízhez, hogy minél több foguk maradjon az amerikaiaknak.
