Donald Trump amerikai elnök diplomáciai erőfeszítésekkel igyekszik elérni, hogy Izrael és a Hamász tűzszüneti megállapodást kössön. Izrael korábban elfogadta az amerikai javaslatot, a Hamász pedig “pozitív választ” adott a közvetítőknek.
