Súlyos megállapítások vannak az Állami Számvevőszék jelentésében a kecskeméti Neumann János Egyetemért Alapítvány gigabefektetéséről: gyakorlatilag minden szabálytalanul ment, kockára tették az egyetem fejlesztésére adott állami források nagy részét. Az egyetem ahelyett, hogy arra költötte volna a pénzt, amire kapta, befektette az MNB-alapítvány Matolcsy-körrel összefonódott cégébe, ami borzalmasan gazdálkodott.
