A huge estate with a manor house, a zoo with exotic animals, Lőrinc Mészáros’s mansion under construction, a golf course, a soccer stadium, an event hall, and a narrow-gauge railway—after 16 years in power, all of these have become standard features of the former prime minister’s hometown. In the aftermath of his party’s defeat, we took a look from the air at everything that had been built with public funds and with public funds turned into private assets in Felcsút and the surrounding area.
